In addition, the Midwest destination is one of the most recommended vacation spots because of its culinary cuisine and downtown landmarks. Now many people are wondering: Does Illinois have any baseball museums or restaurants to visit? Luckily, for the sporting community, the Prairie State has over a dozen baseball attractions to choose from. Chicago Sports Museum (Chicago)
  • Location: 835 N Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60611 (Floor 7 at Water Tower Place Mall)
  • Distance from Wrigley Field: 10-15 Minute Drive
  • The Chicago Sports Museum is a recommended visit for Chicago fans and sports enthusiasts in general. Not only does the venue showcase the city’s long history with baseball, but it also covers other events like hockey, basketball, football, and even soccer. The Museum is located adjacent to Harry Caray’s 7th Inning Stretch Restaurant.

Bottomley-Ruffing-Schalk (B-R-S) Baseball Museum (Nokomis)
  • Location: 121 W State St, Nokomis, IL 62075
  • Distance from St. Louis: 2.0-Hour Drive
  • The museum is located in the small town of Nokomis. Even though the building is in Illinois, it mainly displays Cardinals history since the city is closer to the Gateway Arch than to Chicago.

Harry Caray’s Italian Steakhouse (Chicago)
  • Location: 33 W Kinzie St, Chicago, IL 60654
  • Distance from Milwaukee: 2.0-Hour Drive
  • The dining experience is located in downtown Chicago in a building that was formerly used by 1900’s gangster Al Capone. Named in honor of the late Cubs broadcaster, the unique Windy City eatery is decorated with baseball photos and even a LEGO® Head of Harry Caray on display. The restaurant has other locations in the Chicago area: Water Tower Place (Downtown), Rosemont, Navy Pier, and Chicago Midway International Airport.

  • Big League Burgers is a Cubs-Themed eatery that celebrates both baseball and Wrigley Field. In fact, the bar room has a replica of the stadium’s ivy-covered wall. Also, the dining room is decorated with Wrigley Field photos and Cubs jerseys. Big League Burgers has a man vs. food challenge where the winner gets a picture on the main website and a W (Win) towel if he or she consumes four 8-ounce beef patties, two eggs, eight strips of bacon, and four buns within 25 minutes.

  • The small restaurant is situated not far from the Kishwaukee River as well as the city of Rockford. The outdoor patio has a fence that looks like a Little- League-style outfield wall.

  • The eatery is situated on the lower level of the Realtor® Building (there’s a set of stairs on the street level with a sign that leads to the restaurant). Named after the Cubs’ championship drought curse, the Billy Goat Tavern actually served as an inspiration for the “Cheeburger!
