The Buckeye State is one of sports fans’ must go-to places to see a baseball game and visit themed museums. Ohio has many college and professional teams that play throughout the entire state. In addition, the Midwest destination is one of the most recommended vacation spots because of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (Cleveland) and the Football Hall of Fame (Canton). Now many people are wondering: Does Ohio have any baseball museums or restaurants to visit? Luckily, for the sporting community, the Buckeye State has over a dozen baseball attractions to choose from. Baseball Museums in Ohio

Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame & Museum (Cincinnati)
  • Location: 100 Joe Nuxhall Way, Cincinnati, OH 45202
  • Distance from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport: 20-25 Minute Drive
  • The museum is located across the street from the 1st Base Side Entrance to Great American Ball Park. It is the only Team Hall of Fame Museum in the Major Leagues to have its own separate building and not part of the stadium concourse. The venue is open until two hours after day games, while it closes down at 8:00 P.M. local time on night games.

Baseball Heritage Museum (Cleveland)
  • Location: 6601 Lexington Ave, Cleveland, OH 44103
  • Distance from Downtown Cleveland: 15-20 Minute Drive
  • The Baseball Heritage Museum sits on the site of the defunct League Park, where the then-Cleveland Indians played home games until its demolition in the early 1950s. Believe it or not, the museum building used to be the box office facility where fans used to purchase tickets. Next to the building is an actual baseball field that reminds guests what League Park was.

Ohio Village Muffins (Columbus)

  • As part of the Ohio Village museum district (outdoors), the venue has an 1800s baseball reenactment show called Ohio Village Muffins. The replica games take place in an open field called Muffin Meadows (which is adjacent to Roszman’s Barber Shop and American House Hotel & Tavern). Also, the Muffins perform reenactment shows across the state of Ohio.
