The Great Lakes State is one of sports fans’ must go-to places to see a baseball game and visit themed museums. Michigan has many college and professional teams that play throughout the entire state. In addition, the Midwest destination is one of the most recommended vacation spots because of Motown history and auto-making timeline. Now many people are wondering: Does Michigan have any baseball museums or restaurants to visit? Luckily, for the sporting community, the Great Lakes State has over a dozen baseball attractions to choose from. Baseball Museums in Michigan

Tigers Walk of Fame (Detroit)
  • Location: 2100 Woodward Ave, Detroit, MI 48201
  • Distance from Toronto: 4.0-Hour Drive
  • Tigers Walk of Fame is an open-museum that is spread out in the first-level concourse at Comerica Park (home of the Detroit Tigers). The experience showcases the history and success of the Tigers franchise. Comerica Park has other attractions such as the Baseball Ferris Wheel, Tigers Statues in the Outfield, and a Carousel. The stadium hosted the 2005 All-Star Game and two World Series (2006 and 2012).

Biggest Little Baseball Museum (Three Oaks)
  • Location: 3 N Elm St, Three Oaks, MI 49128
  • Distance from Michigan/Indiana State Line: 10-15 Minute Drive
  • The museum is located on the second floor of the Three Oaks Township Public Library. Keep in mind that the offering is only in one room and not the entire floor. 
  • Top Exhibits: Three Oaks Greens Baseball in the Early 1900s, Little League Baseball in Michigan, Local Favorites like the Detroit Tigers

House of David Baseball & Historical Museum (Saint Joseph)
  • Location: St Joseph, MI 49085
  • Distance from Grand Rapids: 1.5-Hour Drive
  • The House of David Baseball & Historical Museum is dedicated in honor of the local religious group that played baseball in the early 1900s. Even though the players had a successful run in Saint Joseph, they were unable to reach the Major Leagues due to the religion organization’s banishment on haircuts and beard trims.

Michigan History Center (Lansing)
  • Location: 702 W Kalamazoo St, Lansing, MI 48915
  • Distance from Michigan State Campus: 10-15 Minute Drive
  • On the third floor of the Michigan History Center, there are some baseball artifacts that are situated near the Auto Show exhibit. Even though the displays aren’t as numerous as the other Michigan baseball museums, there are some historical facts Michigan History Center can provide to satisfy the fans of the sport. 
  • Top Highlights: 1950s Detroit Tigers Photos, 1900s Michigan Baseball Jersey, Red Wings Books, Auto Show, Military Displays, Civil War in Michigan, High Wheel Bicycle, Mining in Michigan

Tin Roof Detroit (Detroit)

  • The dining experience is located within steps of Comerica Park (home of the Detroit Tigers) and it offers live music on select days. Also, the venue has a rooftop seating area where customers can get the views of the Tigers ballpark and even watch post-game fireworks.

  • State Street Café is about a 3-5 minute walk from Dow Diamond (Home of the Great Lakes Loons). The venue is also very close to a parking lot that is part of the stadium.
