Vancouver Canucks: Best Food Concessions to Try
The History of Vancouver Canucks Hockey at Rogers Arena
With the NHL Hockey season underway, the Vancouver Canucks are ready for puck-drop! The Canucks have been playing home games at Rogers Arena since 1995. Speaking of Rogers Arena, the venue can hold at least 19,000 hockey fans in capacity. The team’s venue is located right next to BC Place (home of the CFL’s BC Lions and MLS Soccer’s Vancouver Whitecaps). Rogers Arena is also about a 15-20 minute drive from Nat Bailey Stadium (home of Minor League Baseball’s Vancouver Canadians).
The venue was formerly known as General Motors Place from 1995 until 2010. The Canucks played in the Stanley Cup Finals in 1994 and 2011. In addition, Rogers Arena hosted the hockey events for the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. Vancouver is seeking its first playoff appearance since 2020, when the team played in the Canada bubble due to the pandemic.
