The History of Montreal Canadiens Hockey at Bell Centre

With the NHL Hockey season underway, the Montreal Canadiens are ready for puck-drop! The Habs have been playing home games at Bell Centre since 1996. Speaking of Bell Centre, the venue can hold at least 21,000 hockey fans in capacity. The team’s venue is about a 5-10 minute drive from Percival Molson Memorial Stadium (home of the CFL’s Montreal Alouettes). Bell Centre is also about a 2.5-hour drive from Canadian Tire Centre (home of the NHL’s Ottawa Senators).

The Habs recently played in the 2021 Stanley Cup Finals, but lost to the Tampa Bay Lightning in five games. In addition, Montreal last hoisted Lord Stanley in 1993 (making them the most recent Canadian club to win the NHL Championship).
