The History of Arizona Coyotes Hockey at Mullett Arena

With the NHL Hockey season underway, the Coyotes are ready for puck-drop! The Coyotes have been playing home games at Mulllett Arena since 2022. Speaking of Mullett Arena, the venue can hold at least 5,000 hockey fans in capacity. The team’s venue is located right next to Sun Devil Stadium (home of the Arizona State Sun Devils Football team). Mullett Arena is also about a 15-20 minute drive from Phoenix (home of the MLB’s Diamondbacks, NBA’s Suns, and WNBA’s Mercury).

The Yotes’ old home in Glendale was formerly known as Gila River Arena (2014-2022) and Jobing.com Arena (2006 until 2014). Their new home is also the main tenant for the Sun Devils men’s and women’s hockey clubs. The Coyotes last reached the Western Conference Finals in 2011, where they lost to the eventual Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings. Arizona is seeking its first NHL playoff appearance since 2020, when they played in the Canada bubble due to the pandemic.
