The History of the UTSA Roadrunners Football at the Alamodome

With the College Football Season around the corner, the UTSA Roadrunners are ready for kick-off! The men in blue and orange have been playing at the Alamodome since 2011. Speaking of the Alamodome, the venue can hold at least 60,000 fans in attendance. The team’s football venue is about a 5-10 minute drive from the University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA) campus. The Alamodome is also about a 10-minute drive from the AT&T Center (home of the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs). The venue hosts the annual Alamo Bowl in December and plays the MLB exhibition games with the Texas Rangers in late March. The men in blue and orange have played in three bowl games: 2016, 2020, and 2021. In fact, UTSA will be playing their first C-USA Championship Game in program’s history.
