The History of Utah Utes Basketball at Jon M. Huntsman Center

With the College Basketball Season around the corner, the Utah Utes are ready for tip-off! The men in Crimson and White have been playing at Jon M. Huntsman Center since the late-1960’s. Speaking of Jon M. Huntsman Center, the venue can hold at least 15,000 fans in capacity. The Utes basketball venue is about a 10-minute drive from Downtown Salt Lake City (home of the NBA’s Utah Jazz). Jon M. Huntsman Center is also located on the University of Utah campus. The school’s basketball stadium was named after local entrepreneur/Utes Basketball fan Jon M. Huntsman. The men in Crimson and White last won a National Championship in 1944. Recently, the Utes reached the Men’s Final Four in 1998.
