The History of the Central Florida Football at FBC Mortgage Stadium

With the College Football Season around the corner, the UCF Knights are ready for kick-off! The men in black and gold have been playing at FBC Mortgage Stadium since 2007. Speaking of FBC Mortgage Stadium, the venue can hold at least 40,000 fans in attendance. The Knights football venue is about a 20-25 minute drive from Downtown Orlando (home of the NBA’s Magic, Hockey’s Solar Bears, and MLS’ Orlando City SC). FBC Mortgage Stadium is also located on the University of Central Florida campus. The football venue was formerly known Bounce House Stadium (2020-2022) and Spectrum Stadium (2017-2020).

Since its opening, the Knights football venue has witnessed some of the greatest college football players and coaches in history. Those players are the following: George O’Leary (head coach), QB Blake Bortles, WR Brandon Marshall, Gus Malzahn (new head coach), LB Shaquem Griffin, Scott Frost (head coach), WR Tre’Quan Smith, and many more! The men in black and gold last won a Conference Championship in 2018, their 5th such title since 2010 (both C-USA and AAC combined).
