Twins Spring Training 2025 Hammond Stadium Guide

You have officially arrived at Hammond Stadium, which is the Spring Training home for the 2025 Minnesota Twins. The stadium is located at Fort Myers, Florida, a 40-45 minute drive from Port Charlotte. The Minneapolis club has been training at Hammond Stadium since 1991 after the team spent the previous 44 years at Tinker Field in Orlando. The Twins’ spring home also serves as the main tenant for the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels (Single-A). Now that the 2025 Grapefruit League season is getting close, the boys from up north are looking to get back in the postseason for the fifth time since 2017. In addition, Minnesota is seeking its first World Series title since 1991. And most importantly, Hammond Stadium has some exciting fan events in store to officially start off Spring Training in 2025.

New Food Offerings at Hammond Stadium

The Twins revealed the official food lineup that will be served at the Fort Myers ballpark in 2025. One of the new food items available will be the Poutine (main concessions), which comes with fried cheese curds with gravy and fries. For the first time ever, Hammond Stadium has Pizza with a choice of pepperoni or cheese slices (section 105, 1st base). Other than the typical ballpark food, the venue is also cooking up Greek Gyros (section 113, 3rd base) and Philly Cheese Steaks (section 106, 1st base). Unfortunately, the Monkey Bunz Sundae will not return this upcoming season. 

Fan Giveaways at Twins Spring Training 2025

Baseball fans have a couple opportunities to bring home a souvenir from a Twins game this spring. They can only retrieve those items via a special theme ticket package. The first such giveaway will take place on Fri. March 7 (1:05 P.M. EDT) vs. Braves, where anyone who purchased a promo deal would receive a “Twin Cities” Pickleball Paddle. The second and final freebie happens on Thurs. March 13 (1:05 P.M. EDT) vs. Pirates, when a Twins Golf Club Cover is given to those who bought a special theme ticket package. 

Postgame Fireworks at Hammond Stadium

For one day only during the upcoming Grapefruit League season, the boys from up north will host a postgame firework show in Fort Myers. That event will occur on Friday, March 14 (6:05 P.M. EDT First Pitch) when the team faces the Tampa Bay Rays. The fireworks display will begin approximately 10-15 minutes after the home contest ends. Minnesota is not the only team to have such a postgame display during spring ball recently. The Blue Jays in Dunedin, the Orioles in Sarasota, and the Astros/Nationals in West Palm Beach also hosted fireworks shows over the past couple years. 

Theme Days at Twins Spring Camp

The 2025 home slate will feature some games with a special themed event. For example, Minnesota will pay tribute to local veterans and first responders during Salute to Service by offering them four tickets for half the price. This experience takes place for the following five contests: Sat. February 22 vs. ATL, Thurs. February 27 vs. PIT, Fri. March 7 vs. Braves, Fri. March 14 vs. TB, and Tues. March 25 vs. Rockies. 

In addition to Salute to Service, Hammond Stadium plans to host Senior Day Deals that consist of a home plate view seat, a hot dog, and a soda. Senior Days will fall on the following home games for 2025: Sat. February 22 vs. Atlanta, Fri. February 28 vs. BAL, Wed. March 5 vs. O’s, Thurs. March 13 vs. Pirates, and Mon. March 24 vs. Pittsburgh. 

As for the little ones, the Twins will let kids 12 and under run around the bases after the end of these three matinees: Sat. February 22 vs. ATL, Sun. March 2 vs. Rays, and Sun. March 16 vs. Boston. The last thing to mention is that the ballpark is the home for the annual Minnesota Day (Sun. March 2 vs. TB), where there is a pre-game tailgate party in the Lee Health Sports Complex parking lot. Fans can start setting up for the experience at 6:00 A.M. EDT only for the March 2 game. 

Night Games at Hammond Stadium in Sarasota

Those who don’t want to deal with the very humid Florida heat might find some relief. For the 2025 season, the spring home of Twins baseball plans to host two games under the lights. All of those home contests would start at 6:05 P.M. EDT first pitch. Since gates open approximately two hours before the contests begin, fans are recommended to come to the venue at around 4:05 P.M. EDT. Here are the Twins Spring Training night games for 2025: Friday, March 14 vs. Tampa Bay (Postgame Fireworks) and Thursday, March 20 vs. Red Sox (Battle of Fort Myers). 

Rockies Make Rare Visit to Twins Camp

The Colorado Rockies, who usually play in the Cactus League in Arizona, will head to Hammond Stadium vs. Minnesota as part of the MLB exhibition contest. The Tues. March 25 game will also serve as the home finale for the Twins before they return to Minneapolis for the season. The main reason the Rockies are in Florida earlier in the regular season is because they will open their campaign at Steinbrenner Field vs. Tampa Bay Rays.
