Who Are the Indianapolis Indians? What League Do They Play in?

With the Minor League Baseball Season (MiLB) underway, the Indians are ready to play ball! The Tribe are a Triple-A Team affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. In addition, they play in the Midwest Division for the Triple-A East League. 2021 will be the club’s 15th season as an MiLB affiliation club for the Pirates dating back to 2005.

Where do the Indians Play their Home Games? Who is the Official Mascot?

The Tribe have been playing their home games at Victory Field since 1996 after spending the past 55 years at the now-demolished Bush Stadium. Speaking of Victory Field, the 14,000-capacity ballpark is located less than a mile away from the city’s other sports venues like Lucas Oil Stadium (Colts) and Bankers Life Fieldhouse (Pacers & Fever). The team’s official mascot is Rowdie the Red Bear.
