The History of Texas Tech Basketball at United Supermarkets Arena

With the College Basketball Season around the corner, the Texas Tech Red Raiders are ready for tip-off! The men in Scarlet and Black have been playing at United Supermarkets Arena since the late-1990’s. Speaking of United Supermarkets Arena, the venue can hold at least 15,000 fans in capacity. The Red Raiders’ basketball venue is about a 4.5-hour drive from Forth Worth (home of the TCU Horned Frogs). United Supermarkets Arena is also located on the Texas Tech University campus. The men in Scarlett and Black last played in the National Championship Game in 2019 (lost to Virginia). Since 2016, the Red Raiders have reached the Men’s NCAA Tournament four times.
