The History of Tennessee Titans Football at Nissan Stadium
With the NFL Football season underway, the Tennessee Titans are ready for kick-off! The Titans have been playing home games at Nissan Stadium since 1999. Speaking of Nissan Stadium, the venue can hold nearly 70,000 football fans in capacity. The team’s venue is located across the bridge from Downtown Nashville (home of the NHL’s Predators and Triple-A Baseball’s Sounds). Nissan Stadium will host the 2022 NHL Stadium Series (Predators vs. Lightning). The Titans last played in the Super Bowl during the 1999 season (team’s first season at the venue). Recently, Tennessee played in the 2019-2020 AFC Championship Game (lost to Kansas City Chiefs). The venue was formerly known as LP Field from 2006 until 2015.
