Who Are the Syracuse Mets? What League Do They Play in?

With the Minor League Baseball Season (MiLB) underway, the Syracuse Mets are ready to play ball! Syracuse is a Triple-A Team affiliate of the New York Mets. In addition, they play in the East Division for the International League as of 2024. For 2021, Syracuse played in the Northeast division for the Triple-A East League. 2024 will be the club’s 5th season as an MiLB affiliation club for the Mets after spending the previous ten years as a Triple-A farm team for the Washington Nationals. Before changing the club’s current name in 2019, the Minor League team was known as the Syracuse Chiefs.

Where do the Syracuse Mets Play their Home Games? Who is the Official Mascot?

The Chiefs/Mets have been playing their home games at NBT Bank Stadium since 1997 after spending the previous three decades at the now-demolished MacArthur Stadium. Speaking of NBT Bank Stadium, the 11,000-capacity ballpark is not far from the Destiny USA Mall located a couple blocks down. The team’s official mascot is Scooch the Dog.
