The Blue Crabs have no prior Minor League partnership with any MLB club. The franchise is one of the several non-MLB teams located in Maryland: Aberdeen IronBirds, Bowie BaySox, Delmarva Shorebirds, and Frederick Keys.

The Blue Crabs have been playing their home games at Regency Furniture Stadium since 2008.
