With the Minor League Baseball Season (MiLB) underway, the Salem Red Sox (based in Salem, Virginia) are ready to play ball! The Salem franchise is a Low-A Team affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. In addition, they play in the North Division for the Low-A East League. Salem has been a farm team for Boston since 2009. The minor league team was formerly known as the Salem Avalanche (Houston Astros’ farm club) from 1995 until 2008.

The Red Sox have been playing their home games at Salem Memorial Ballpark since 1995.
