Who Are the Rome Emperors? What League Do They Play in?

With the Minor League Baseball Season (MiLB) underway, the Rome Emperors (based in Rome, Georgia) are ready to play ball! The Rome franchise is a High-A Team affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. In addition, they play in the South Division for the High-A East League. The Rome club has been a farm club for Atlanta since 2003. The Minor League Team was formerly known as the Macon Braves (based in Macon, Georgia) from 1991 until 2002. Recently, the Rome franchise changed its name to the Emperors in 2024 after spending the previous 20 years as the Braves.

Where do the Rome Emperors Play their Home Games? Who is the Official Mascot?

The Emperors have been playing their home games at AdventHealth Stadium since its inception in 2003. Speaking of AdventHealth Stadium, the 5,000-capacity ballpark is located outside Downtown Rome near the Oostanaula River. The venue is also located near the Veterans Memorial Highway. AdventHealth Stadium is about a 1.5-hour drive from Atlanta (home of the MLB’s Braves, NBA’s Hawks, NFL’s Falcons, WNBA’s Dream, and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets). The ballpark was formerly known as State Mutual Stadium from 2003 until 2022. The team’s official mascots are Romey the Dark Blue Monster, Roxie the Light Blue Monster, and Roman the Baseball Head.
