With the Minor League Hockey Season underway, the Rochester Americans (or Amerks) are ready to drop the puck! The Amerks are an AHL club of the Buffalo Sabres. In addition, they play in the North Division for the Eastern Conference. The Amerks have been a farm team for the Sabres since 2011. The franchise previously partnered with the Florida Panthers from 2008 until 2011. Rochester last won the Calder Cup title in 1996.
