With the Minor League Hockey Season underway, the Rapid City Rush are ready to drop the puck! Rapid City is an ECHL club of the Arizona Coyotes. In addition, they play in the Mountain Division for the Western Conference. Rapid City has been a farm team for the Coyotes since 2019. The franchise previously partnered with the Minnesota Wild (2017-2018) and Arizona Coyotes (2015-2017). Since the 2014-2015 season, the Rush club has only reached the playoffs one (2015).

The Rush have been playing home games at The Monument since 2008. Speaking of The Monument, the 5,000-capacity arena is located near Downtown Rapid City. The venue is about a 30-35 minute drive from Mount Rushmore. The Monument is also about a 1.0-hour drive from the Crazy Horse Memorial. Rapid City’s arena was formerly known as Rushmore Plaza Civic Center. The team’s main mascot is Nugget the Donkey.
