With the College Basketball Season around the corner, the Penn State Nittany Lions are ready for tip-off! The men in White and Blue have been playing at Bryce Jordan Center since the mid-1990’s. Speaking of Bryce Jordan Center, the venue can hold at least 15,000 fans in capacity. The Nittany Lions basketball venue is about a 2.5-hour drive from Pittsburgh (home of the NFL’s Steelers, NHL’s Penguins, and MLB’s Pirates). Beaver Stadium is also located on the Penn State University campus. The school’s basketball stadium was named after former Penn State President Bryce Jordan (who contributed to the venue’s development). The men in White and Blue last played in the Final Four in 1954. Recently, the Nittany Lions reached the Men’s March Madness Tournament in 2011. Meanwhile, the women’s basketball team played in the Final Four in 2000.
