With the NHL Hockey season underway, the Pittsburgh Penguins are ready for puck-drop! The Penguins have been playing home games at PPG Paints Arena since 2010. Speaking of PPG Paints Arena, the venue can hold at least 18,000 hockey fans in capacity. The team’s venue is about a 2.5-hour drive from Cleveland, OH (home of the AHL’s Monsters, NBA’s Cavaliers, NFL’s Browns, and MLB’s Guardians). PPG Paints Arena is also about a 5-10 minute drive from PNC Park and Heinz Field (home of the MLB’s Pirates and NFL’s Steelers, respectively). The venue was previously known as Consol Energy Center from 2010 until 2016. The Penguins won three Stanley Cups in 2009, 2016, and 2017. Since the arena opened, Pittsburgh has played in three Eastern Conference Finals appearances (2013, 2016, 2017).
