Also, they play in the South Division for the Double-A South League. The Blue Wahoos have been an affiliate for Miami since 2021. Pensacola previously partnered with the Cincinnati Reds (2012-2018) and the Minnesota Twins (2019-2020) before joining the Marlins. The minor league franchise was formerly known as the original version of the Carolina Mudcats from 1991 until 2011 when the team moved to Florida.

The Blue Wahoos have been playing their home games at Admiral Fetterman Field (or Blue Wahoo Stadium) since 2012. Speaking of Blue Wahoo Stadium, the 5,000-capacity ballpark is located close to Downtown Pensacola (which is near the Pensacola Bay Bridge). The ballpark was named after Jack Fetterman (a former Navy who assisted in developing the Community Maritime Park located close to the stadium’s outfield area). The team’s official mascot is Kazoo the Blue Sea Monster.
