The History of the Ohio State Buckeyes Football at Ohio Stadium

With the College Football Season around the corner, the Ohio State Buckeyes are ready for kick-off! The men in scarlet and gray have been playing at Ohio Stadium since the early 1920’s. Speaking of Ohio Stadium, the venue can hold at least 100,000 fans in attendance. The Buckeyes football venue is about a 10-15 minute drive from Downtown Columbus (home of the NHL’s Blue Jackets, Triple-A Baseball’s Clippers, and MLS’ Columbus Crew). Ohio Stadium is also located on the Ohio State University campus.

Since its opening, the Buckeyes football venue has witnessed some of the greatest college football players and coaches in history. Those players are the following: Woody Hayes (head coach), Archie Griffin, Ezekiel Elliott, Eddie George, Urban Meyer (head coach), QB Justin Fields, Ryan Day (head coach), and many more! The men in scarlet and gray last won a National Championship in 2014, their 8th such title in program history.
