The Dolphins have been playing at Hard Rock Stadium since 1987, while the Hurricanes have been playing there since 2008. Speaking of Hard Rock Stadium, the venue can hold nearly 60,000 football fans. The teams’ venue is about a 25-30 minute drive from Downtown Miami (home of the MLB’s Marlins and NBA’s Heat). Hard Rock Stadium is also about a 40-50 minute drive from the University of Miami campus. The Dolphins last won the Super Bowl in 1973, while the Hurricanes won the National Championship in 2001. The football stadium also serves as the home of the Orange Bowl.
