With the College Football Season around the corner, the LSU Tigers are ready for kick-off! The men in purple and yellow have been playing at Tiger Stadium since the mid-1920’s. Speaking of Tiger Stadium, the venue can hold at least 100,000 fans in attendance. The Tigers football venue is about a 1.5-hour drive from New Orleans (home of the NFL’s Saints and NBA’s Pelicans). Tiger Stadium is also located on the Louisiana State University campus. The LSU Tigers football stadium is also not far from the Mississippi River.
Since its opening, the Tigers football venue has witnessed some of the greatest college football players and coaches in history. Those players are the following: Ed Orgeron (head coach), QB Joe Burrow, WR Odell Beckham Jr, CB Tyrann Mathieu, Les Miles (head coach), QB Matt Flynn, Nick Saban (head coach), DE Leonard Fournette, and many more! The men in purple and yellow last won a National Championship in 2019, their 3rd such title since 2003.
