The History of Los Angeles FC Soccer at Banc of California Stadium

With the MLS Soccer Season underway, the Los Angeles FC are ready for action! The LAFC have been playing at Banc of California Stadium (Los Angeles, CA) since their inception in 2018. Speaking of Banc of California Stadium, the venue is located right next to the L.A. Memorial Coliseum (home of the USC Trojans Football & 2028 Summer Olympics Ceremonies). The stadium is about a 15-20 minute drive from Dignity Health Sports Park (home of the MLS Soccer’s LA Galaxy). Banc of California Stadium is also about a 10-15 minute drive from Downtown Los Angeles (home of the MLB’s Dodgers, NHL’s Kings, and NBA’s Lakers/Clippers).

Since the Los Angeles FC became an MLS franchise in 2018, the team won the Supporter’s Shield for best record in the league (2019). In addition, they made the playoffs three times (2018-2020) with a Western Conference Finals appearance in 2019. Banc of California Stadium will be the site for soccer matches (men’s and women’s) for the 2028 Summer Games.
