The 2026 Men’s World Cup has finally arrived and it lasts from June 11 until July 19. This international competition is taking place throughout North America: United States, Canada, and Mexico. Lionel Messi and Argentina are the defending World Cup champions as they defeated France in the 2022 edition in Qatar. Now, soccer fans in Tampa and St. Petersburg are wondering where is the best place to watch the World Cup games. Some of the local restaurants are offering viewing events throughout the Tampa Bay region. Here are the following World Cup Watch Party locations in Tampa Bay:
Jannus Live
Located on 200 1st Ave N Ste 206 in St. Pete, this concert venue plans to show the upcoming USA vs. Australia match on the 20-foot LED screen. The game will take place on Friday, June 19 at 3:00 P.M. EDT and is standing-room only. The World Cup watch party will also include goal effects, CO2 cannons, raffles and giveaways. Tickets are available for $10.00 and some of the proceeds go towards the Williams Park Partnership and Ocean Aid 360. In case of inclement weather, Jannus Live will sell ponchos since umbrellas are not allowed.
Fergs Sports Bar
One of Tropicana Field’s nearby restaurants (1320 Central Ave in St. Pete) will host multiple World Cup watch parties in June. Fans can order some of Fergs’ popular offerings like the bone-in chicken wings and classic nachos. Here are the following games and dates for the Fergs soccer watch parties: Wed. June 17 (Columbia vs. Uzbekistan at 9:00 P.M.), Fri. June 19 (USA vs. Australia at 3:00 P.M. & Brazil vs. Haiti at 8:30 P.M.), Thur. June 25 (USA vs. Turkey at 10:00 P.M.), and Sat. June 27 (Columbia vs. Portugal at 6:00 P.M.).
Also to keep in mind is that Ferg’s Concert Pavilion is hosting the Team USA viewing event on June 25 vs. Turkey. Tickets are just $10.00 and doors will open at 7:00 P.M., one hour before the party begins.
Amature Works
Tampa’s food hall plans to showcase a couple World Cup games on the South Lawn’s big screen. Amature Works (1910 N Ola Ave, Tampa) has many food court stands to choose from: Empamamas’ Gourmet Empanadas, Flan Factory’s Cuban Sandwiches & Flan, The Fold’s Pizza, Zuuku’s Sushi, and Chill Bros. Ice Cream. All of those vendors are located inside the Heights Public Market.
Amature Works has the following watch party dates: Thurs. June 18 (Canada vs. Qatar at 6:00 P.M.), Fri. June 26 (Spain vs. Uruguay at 8:00 P.M.), Sat. June 27 (Columbia vs Portugal at 7:30 P.M.), and Men’s Finals on Sunday, July 19 (3:00 P.M.).
The Bay Park
Located at 1055 Boulevard of the Arts in Sarasota, this outdoor event will have the World Cup matches on the main stage. Fans are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and The Nest Cafe will serve food on-site. Menu options include cheeseburgers, breakfast sandwiches, protein bowls, and quesadillas. Here is the World Cup watch party schedule at The Bay Park: Wed. June 17 (England vs. Croatia at 4:00 P.M.) and Mond. June 22 (Argentina vs. Austria at 1:00 P.M.).
Boteco Bossa Nova
A Brazilian restaurant in Pinellas Park (6119 Park Blvd) plans to celebrate its nation’s participation in the World Cup. Only open on weekends, Boteco Bossa Nova mainly serves some authentic dishes ranging from the Cheese Balls to Meat & Cheese Pastel and Quindim Flan. Here are the following dates for Team Brazil’s watch parties in Pinellas Park: Fri. June 19 vs. Haiti at 8:30 P.M. and Wed. June 24 vs. Scotland at 6:00 P.M.
