When Do the Team USA Men’s Hockey Games Begin?

The 2022 Winter Olympics will take place in Beijing, China from Friday, February 4 until Sunday, February 20. Beijing becomes just the 4th Asian city to host the Olympic Games since the late 1990’s: Tokyo, Japan (2020), Pyeongchang, South Korea (2018), and Nagano, Japan (1998). In fact, Beijing will be hosting the Olympics for the first time since the 2008 Summer Olympics. Now for men’s hockey, Team USA will be looking for their first Medal since winning silver in the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. They have not won a gold medal since the 1980 Lake Placid Olympics.

Team USA was originally going to be represented by NHL players, but the league withdrew from the Beijing Olympics due to rising cases among teams. The squad will be guided by former New York Rangers/Boston University Head Coach David Quinn and will play games at the Beijing National Indoor Stadium. Team USA currently has three scheduled preliminary events for Beijing:
