Trick-or-Treat at Acrisure Stadium, Kevin Colbert’s Hall of Honor Induction & Rib Festival Part of Pittsburgh Steelers Game Themes 2026!
Welcome to the Steelers’ official 2026 promotional schedule reveal! The organization is coming off its first AFC North Division title since 2020. In fact, Pittsburgh has achieved its third straight 10-win season for the first time since 2014-2017. Most importantly, the team and new head coach Mike McCarthy are looking to win a postseason game for the first time since 2016. But before those playoff talks begin, the Pittsburgh Steelers have officially announced its 2026 game themes schedule that focuses on fan favorite events and in-game entertainment.
New themes this season include the Class of 2026 Hall of Honor Induction, Black Friday Showdown, and Banner Raising Ceremony. Acrisure Stadium will begin the 2026 promotional dates in August with Play Football (Aug. 13) and Family Fun Night (Aug. 21). The Steelers will open the regular season home dates in September with the Kickoff & Rib Festival (Sept. 3-7), Steelers 5K Run (Sept. 7), Home Opener & AFC North Division Banner Raise (Sept. 13), Hall of Honor Dinner (Sept. 25), and Team HOH Induction Ceremony (Sept. 27).
Next, Pittsburgh’s October themes will consist of the following: Steelers Style Fashion Show (Oct. 9), Crucial Catch for Cancer (Oct. 11), and Spooktacular Trick-or-Treat (Oct. 20). For November, the Steelers are going to recognize the local military veterans via Salute to Service (Nov. 1) and host Black Friday Showdown (Nov. 27). Finally, Pittsburgh will have a busy month of December based on these fan-favorite events: Alumni Dinner (Dec. 5), Alumni Weekend Celebration (Dec. 6), Inspire Change & Holidays (Dec. 20), and Fan Appreciation (Dec. 27).

August 2026
Play Football Showcase
- The preseason opener focuses on the Steel City’s support for youth sports such as flag football and junior varsity football.
- Date: Thursday, August 13

Family Fun Night
- The team plans to provide food trucks and interactive games for all ages.
- Date: Friday, August 21
- Kick-Off: 7:00 P.M. Eastern Time

September 2026
Home Opener & Banner Raising Ceremony
- Acrisure Stadium will introduce the official 2026 Pittsburgh Steelers roster as part of a must-watch ceremony.
- The franchise will also raise the 2025 NFC North Division Champions banner into the rafters.
- Date: Sunday, September 13
- Kick-Off: 1:00 P.M. Eastern Time
- Opponent: Atlanta Falcons
Steelers Hall of Honor Induction
- The NFL club is going to enshrine three new members for the Class of 2026: longtime GM & Executive Kevin Colbert (2000-2022), G Craig Wolfley (1980-1989), and 4-Time Super Bowl winning DB J.T. Thomas (1973-1981). Wolfley will be inducted posthumously since he passed away in March 2025.
- Also to keep in mind is that the HOH Dinner Reception will take place on Friday, September 25 (4:30 P.M.-9:00 P.M.) at the football stadium.

Crucial Catch
- This only home game for the month will spread the word on cancer awareness and early screenings for illnesses.
- Steelers Style, a fundraising model runaway event sponsored by Steelers Charities, is happening on Friday, October 9 (6:00 P.M.-9:30 P.M.) on Stage AE.
- Date: Sunday, October 11

November 2026
Salute to Service
- Pittsburgh wants to pay tribute to the local soldiers and veterans for their service.
- Date: Sunday, November 1

Black Friday Showdown
- The day after Thanksgiving, the Steelers will face-off against the reigning AFC West Division champions.
- Date: Friday, November 27

Alumni Weekend & My Cause, My Cleats
- This Sunday Night Football matchup will welcome Steelers legends from the past. In addition, the Alumni Dinner will take place on Saturday, December 5 (6:00 P.M.-9:30 P.M.) at Acrisure Stadium.
- The players from both teams are going to wear their special cleats showcasing their favorite charities.

Inspire Change
- As part of the NFL’s goal for the later part of the season, the Steelers will get to contribute and help out in the Steel City’s underserved communities.
