First Ever White Out, New Rivalries Uniforms, and Fan Giveaways Part of New York Jets Game Themes 2026!
Welcome to the Jets’ official 2026 promotional schedule reveal! The franchise wants to snap the longest active playoff drought in professional sports dating back to 2010. In fact, New York is seeking to reach the AFC Championship Game for the first time since 2010. Also, the NFL club is looking for its first AFC East Division title since 2002. But before those postseason talks begin, the New York Jets have officially announced its 2026 game themes schedule that focuses on fan favorite events and in-game entertainment.
New themes this season include the White Out Takeover, Updated Rivalries Jerseys, and Fan Giveaways. MetLife Stadium will begin the 2026 promotional dates in August with the Preseason Opener (Aug. 14) and Empire State Showdown (Aug. 28). The Jets will open the regular season home dates in September with the Home Opening Kickoff (Sept. 20) and White Out Takeover (Sept. 20). Next, New York’s October themes will consist of Crucial Catch (Oct. 11), Green & White Stripes (Oct. 11), and First Responders Appreciation (Oct. 25).
For November, the Jets plan to host a New Jersey Lottery® sponsored matchup (Nov. 1) and Salute to Service for the Military (Nov. 15). Then, the December promo dates are going to showcase Home for the Holidays (Dec. 13), Youth Football Celebration (Dec. 13), and New Rivalries Uniforms Debut (Dec. 27). Finally, MetLife Stadium will finish off the 2026 home schedule with Fan Appreciation Day (Jan. 3). For the second year in a row, the Jets will not host any night time games during regular season play.

New York Jets Promotional Schedule 2026 by Month
August 2026
Preseason Opener
- For the first time since last December, the Jets will return home to face-off against one of the top teams in the league.
- Date: Friday, August 14
- Kick-Off: 7:00 P.M. Eastern Time
- Opponent: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Empire State Showdown
- This preseason finale highlights one of the NFL’s best crosstown rivalries.
- Date: Friday, August 28
- Kick-Off: 7:30 P.M. Eastern Time

September 2026
White Out & Giveaway
- MetLife Stadium will begin the home opener by introducing the New York Jets coaches and players in a pregame ceremony.
- New this season, all fans are encouraged to wear white shirts and other clothing as the team plans to wear all-white uniforms.
- All fans in attendance will receive the Jets White Rally Towels while supplies last.
- Date: Sunday, September 20
- Kick-Off: 1:00 P.M. Eastern Time
- Opponent: Green Bay Packers
October 2026
Crucial Catch, Stripe Out & Giveaway
- One of the NFL’s top initiatives recognizes the importance of battling cancer and getting screened early.
- Depending on a seating section, fans are encouraged to wear either green or white jerseys to create a stripe effect at the stadium.
- All ticket holders at the game will get the Jets Green &White Flags while supplies last.
- Date: Sunday, October 11

First Responders Appreciation Day
- MetLife Stadium is going to recognize the local police officers and firefighters from New York and New Jersey.

Sunday Football Matinee
- New Jersey Lottery® is sponsoring this Jets home contest against the reigning Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza.

Salute to Service
- New York will pay tribute to the local soldiers and veterans from East Rutherford.

- MetLife Stadium plans to feature Christmas music and holiday-themed entertainment.

Rivalries Uniform Debut & Giveaway
- For the first time this season, the players will get to don their new Rivalries jerseys.
