Adrian Peterson’s Ring of Honor Induction, Cleats for Charity & Latin Heritage Part of Minnesota Vikings Game Themes 2026!
Welcome to the Vikings’ official 2026 promotional schedule reveal! The NFL club wants to make the postseason for the first time since 2022. In fact, Minnesota is seeking its first playoff victory since the 2019 Wild Card. Most importantly, the organization is looking for its first Super Bowl appearance since 1976. But before those playoff talks begin, the Minnesota Vikings have officially announced its 2026 game themes schedule that focuses on fan favorite events and in-game entertainment.
New themes this season include Adrian Peterson’s Ring of Honor, Updated Rivalries Uniforms, and Cleats for Charity. The Minnesota Vikings will begin the 2026 season in August with the Youth Sports Showcase via Play Football (Aug. 22). The team will then open the regular season home dates in September with the Kickoff (Sept. 13) and 25th Anniversary of 9/11 (Sept. 13). Next, the October themes will consist of Latin heritage (Oct. 4), Crucial Catch (Oct. 4), and Pre-Halloween Showdown (Oct. 25).
For November, the Vikings are going to enshrine Adrian Peterson into the team’s Ring of Honor (Nov. 9), honoring the local military (Nov. 9), and wearing special cleats for charity (Nov. 29). December will be a very busy month as Minnesota will highlight Home for the Holidays (Dec. 6), Updated Rivalries Uniforms (Dec. 20), NFL Man of the Year (Dec. 20), Winter Whiteout (Dec. 27), and Inspire Change (Dec. 27). Finally, the Vikings will wrap up the regular season home schedule with Fan Appreciation Day (Jan. 10).

- This only preseason contest focuses on the continued support for youth sports such as junior varsity football and flag football.

Home Opener & 25th Anniversary of 9/11
- U.S. Bank Stadium wants to welcome the 2026 Minnesota Vikings players and coaches as part of the pregame ceremony.

- The Vikings plan to spread awareness on early cancer screenings as well as sharing survival stories.

- The franchise is going to host a professional football game just a few days before Halloween arrives.
