List of Latvia Men’s Hockey Players-Beijing Olympics
When Do the Team Latvia Men’s Hockey Games Begin?
The 2022 Winter Olympics will take place in Beijing, China from Friday, February 4 until Sunday, February 20. Beijing becomes just the 4th Asian city to host the Olympic Games since the late 1990’s: Tokyo, Japan (2020), Pyeongchang, South Korea (2018), and Nagano, Japan (1998). In fact, Beijing will be hosting the Olympics for the first time since the 2008 Summer Olympics. Now for men’s hockey, Team Latvia will be looking for their first medal in the program’s history. Their best end result was finishing 8th in the 2014 Sochi Games.
Team Latvia was originally going to be represented by NHL players, but the league withdrew from the Beijing Olympics due to rising cases among teams. The squad will be guided by 1-Time Olympian Harijs Vitolins and will play games at the National Indoor Stadium in Beijing. Team Latvia currently has three scheduled preliminary events for Beijing:
