The organization won its first Appalachian League championship in 2021 by defeating the Pulaski River Turtles. The city previously hosted a Minor League team, where Greeneville served as a Rookie Level farm partner for the Houston Astros (2004-2017) and Cincinnati Reds (2018-2020). Also, the franchise is one of the many clubs based in Tennessee along with Bristol, Elizabethton, Kingsport, Johnson City, Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, and Chattanooga. Now that the Independent Baseball season is officially underway, the Greeneville Flyboys have some exciting theme nights for fans to enjoy.
