Oilers Promo Nights 2025-2026 Include Western Conference Champions Banner, Celebrating Oil Country, Hockey Fights Cancer & More! 

Welcome to the Edmonton Oilers 2025-2026 theme nights reveal! The two-time defending Western Conference champions are looking to reach the Stanley Cup Finals for the fourth time since 2006. In addition, the Oilers are seeking their first NHL title since defeating Boston in 1990. With about 1.5 months before the puck drops on opening night, the Edmonton Oilers officially revealed their promotional schedule for the 2025-2026 season

Rogers Place will provide at least 20 theme nights throughout the upcoming year. Those fan events are the West Champions Banner Raising Ceremony (Oct. 8), Canadian Armed Forces (Oct. 28), Hockey Fights Cancer (Nov. 25), Next Gen Takeover (Jan. 3), Olympics Send-Off (Feb. 3), Pride Acceptance (Mar. 19), Oil Country (Mar. 28), and Women in Sports (Mar. 31). The stadium also plans to showcase global cultures ranging from Native Americans (Jan. 20), South Asia (Jan. 29), and Ireland (Mar. 17). Other theme days with an unannounced date include Lunar New Year, Ukrainian Heritage, and Black Excellence.

Edmonton Oilers Promotional Schedule 2025-2026 by Month

October 2025

Home Opener in Alberta/West Champions Banner

  • Rogers Place wants to host a special pregame ceremony introducing the Oilers’ coaching staff and players. 
  • Also, Edmonton will raise the “2024-2025 Western Conference Champions” Banner into the rafters before puck-drop. 
  • Date: Wednesday, October 8
  • Puck-Drop: 8:00 P.M. Mountain Time
  • Opponent: Calgary Flames

Canadian Armed Forces Night

  • The evening will pay tribute to local soldiers and military officials from the Edmonton area. 
  • Date: Tuesday, October 28
  • Puck-Drop: 7:30 P.M. Mountain Time
  • Opponent: Utah Mammoth

Halloween Spooktacular

  • The team will provide spooky music and entertainment. 
  • Date: Thursday, October 30
  • Puck-Drop: 7:00 P.M. Mountain Time

November 2025

Dia de Los Muertos

  • The stadium plans celebrate one of Mexico’s most festive holidays of the year. 
  • Date: Saturday, November 1
  • Puck-Drop: 8:00 P.M. Mountain Time
  • Opponent: Chicago Blackhawks

Remembrance Day Game

  • The NHL club will honor local veterans from Central Alberta. 
  • Date: Monday, November 10
  • Puck-Drop: 6:30 P.M. Mountain Time
  • Opponent: Columbus Blue Jackets

Hockey Fights Cancer

  • During pregame warm-ups, the players intend to wear purple jerseys to showcase cancer awareness.
  • Date: Tuesday, November 25
  • Puck-Drop: 7:00 P.M. Mountain Time
  • Opponent: Dallas Stars

December 2025

Holiday Celebration

  • The home venue will feature Christmas music and an appearance from Santa Claus. 
  • Date: Tuesday, December 23
  • Puck-Drop: 7:00 P.M. Mountain Time
  • Opponent: Calgary Flames

New Year’s Eve with the Oilers

  • The organization will finish the calendar year with a fun NHL battle. 
  • Date: Wednesday, December 31

January 2026

Next Gen Matinee

  • The franchise is going to commemorate its first hockey contest for 2026 by welcoming youth hockey players from Edmonton. 
  • Date: Saturday, January 3

  • Opponent: Philadelphia Flyers

Indigenous Heritage Night

  • The event will promote the traditions and festivities from the Native Americans. 
  • Date: Tuesday, January 20

South Asian Culture Day

  • Rogers Place wants to recognize the music and food offerings from India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and many more.

February 2026

Winter Olympics Send-Off

  • The team will host one last game before the players head to Italy for the 2026 Milan Cortina Games.

March 2026

St. Patrick’s Day Party

  • The arena plans to include Irish music and green-filled activities on game day.

Pride Acceptance

  • The hockey showdown will be an inclusive event for everyone.

  • The NHL club intends to award the feature community showcase to one lucky nearby city.
