When Do the Team Denmark Men’s Hockey Games Begin?
The 2022 Winter Olympics will take place in Beijing, China from Friday, February 4 until Sunday, February 20. Beijing becomes just the 4th Asian city to host the Olympic Games since the late 1990’s: Tokyo, Japan (2020), Pyeongchang, South Korea (2018), and Nagano, Japan (1998). In fact, Beijing will be hosting the Olympics for the first time since the 2008 Summer Olympics. Now for men’s hockey, Team Denmark will be looking for their first medal in the program’s history. As a matter of fact, the Danish national squad will be making their Olympic debut in 2022.
Team Denmark was originally going to be represented by NHL players, but the league withdrew from the Beijing Olympics due to rising cases among teams. The squad will be guided by former European Player Heinz Ehlers (whose son, Nikolaj, plays for the Winnipeg Jets) and will play games at the National Indoor Stadium in Beijing. Team Denmark currently has three scheduled preliminary events for Beijing:
