Full Story on Avalos Being Fired as BSU Broncos Head Coach

With Andy Avalos gone, now is the time for the Broncos to interview top candidates. In fact, the recognizable applicants could be qualified to become the team’s new head coach for the 2024 season. Boise State decided to fire Avalos after just three seasons under the helm. At the time of the firing, the football program was 5-5 to start the season (4-2 in Mountain West conference play). Defensive Coordinator Spencer Danielson will be the interim coach for the rest of the campaign. 

Andy Avalos’s Career with the Boise State Broncos

The former coach led the team to a 10-win season in 2022, where they lost the MW Title Game vs. Fresno State. Despite the loss, the Broncos won the Frisco Bowl against North Texas.
