When Do the Team Canada Men’s Hockey Games Begin?
The 2022 Winter Olympics will take place in Beijing, China from Friday, February 4 until Sunday, February 20. Beijing becomes just the 4th Asian city to host the Olympic Games since the late 1990’s: Tokyo, Japan (2020), Pyeongchang, South Korea (2018), and Nagano, Japan (1998). In fact, Beijing will be hosting the Olympics for the first time since the 2008 Summer Olympics. Now for men’s hockey, Team Canada will be looking for their first Gold Medal since the 2014 Sochi Olympics. They recently won a bronze medal in the 2018 Pyeongchang Games.
Team Canada was originally going to be represented by NHL players, but the league withdrew from the Beijing Olympics due to rising cases among teams. The squad will be guided by former Bruins/Canadiens Head Coach Claude Julien and will play games at the Beijing National Indoor Stadium.
