Rasmus Dahlin Bobblehead Giveaway, Team HOF Induction (Vanek and Pominville) & Oktoberfest Part of Sabres Promo Nights 2026-2027!
Welcome to the Buffalo Sabres 2026-2027 theme nights reveal! The defending Atlantic Division champions have just snapped the 2nd longest active playoff drought in North America dating back to 2011. In fact, Buffalo is looking for its first Eastern Conference Finals berth since 2007. Most importantly, the organization wants to return to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time since 1999. With a month and a half before the puck drops on opening night, the Buffalo Sabres officially announced their promotional schedule for the 2026-2027 season.
KeyBank Center plans to include 21 theme nights and 10 stadium giveaways throughout the upcoming year. The Sabres will start the promotional slate in October with the Home Opener (Oct. 3), Atlantic Division Champions Mini Banner (Oct. 3), Oktoberfest Beer Stein (Oct. 8), and Columbus Day Matinee (Oct. 12). For November, the stadium is going to host the following events: Hockey Fights Cancer Scarf Giveaway (Nov. 6), Military Appreciation (Nov. 11), Thanksgiving Salt & Pepper Shakers (Nov. 25), and Disco Fever (Nov. 27). Next, December will be packed with theme nights ranging from the Native American Heritage Event (Dec. 10) to Home for the Holidays (Dec. 20) and 2026 Home Finale (Dec. 28).
The second half of the promotional schedule will resume in January with the 2027 Home Debut (Jan. 4), Mental Health Awareness (Jan. 12), and Sabres HOF Commemorative Pennant (Jan. 14). The Class of 2027 inductees are Jason Pominville and Thomas Vanek, the stars from the 2000s. For February, the team is going to celebrate Women in Sports (Feb. 3) and Black History Month (Feb. 18). In March, Buffalo will have the following giveaways and fan events: Rasmus Dahlin Bobblehead (Mar. 2), Kids in Charge (Mar. 6), Pride Night (Mar. 9), and Sabretooth Mascot Madness Socks (Mar. 20). Finally, the Sabres will wrap up the home slate in April with the Fan Appreciation Team Flag freebie (Apr. 10).

Home Opener & Giveaway
- The KeyBank Center will have a pregame party at the Ticketmaster™ Alumni Plaza and welcome Sabres players at the Blue & Gold Carpet Event.
- All fans in attendance will receive the 2025-2026 Atlantic Division Champions Mini Banner.

Hockey Fights Cancer & Giveaway
- Before the game, the players will wear their purple jerseys to spread the word on cancer awareness.

Sunday Matinee in Buffalo
- The only afternoon game for November welcomes the defending Western Conference champions.

- This theme is all about those who served for our country, ranging from the Marines to the Air Force and Navy.

- The arena plans to host a regional hockey matchup the night before Turkey Day arrives.

Sabres Hall of Fame & Giveaway
- The Class of 2027 will have two players: LW Thomas Vanek (2005-2013) and RW Jason Pominville (2004-2013, 2017-2019). Vanek and Pominville went to the All-Star Game in 2009 and 2012, respectively. They also took Buffalo two Eastern Conference Finals appearances in 2006 and 2007.
