With the Minor League Baseball Season (MiLB) underway, the Lexington Legends & Wild Health Genomes (based in Lexington, KY) are ready to play ball! They are an Independent Baseball Team for the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (Partner of the MLB). In addition, Lexington and Wild Health play in the South Division for the League. The Legends were a Single-A club for the Kansas City Royals (2013-2020) and Houston Astros (2001-2012). The franchise is one of the couple non-MLB teams located in Kentucky: Louisville Bats and Bowling Green Hot Rods. Meanwhile, the Genomes made their baseball debut in 2022 at Wild Health Field.

The Legends have been playing their home games at Wild Health Field since 2001. Speaking of Wild Heath Field, the 7,000-capacity ballpark is about a 10-minute drive from the University of Kentucky Wildcats campus (home of the Kentucky Wildcats of the SEC Conference). In fact, the stadium is also about a 1.5-hour drive from Louisville (home of the Louisville Cardinals and Triple-A Baseball’s Louisville Bats).
