The History of Boston Red Sox Spring Training in Fort Myers

With the Spring Training Grapefruit League Season underway, the Boston Red Sox are ready to play ball! The Red Sox have been training at JetBlue Park since 2012. Speaking of JetBlue Park, the venue is known for its Green Monster scoreboard replica (from Fenway Park) at left field. JetBlue Park is a 10-15 minute drive from Hammond Stadium, the Spring Training home of the Minnesota Twins.

Since the Red Sox came to the stadium in 2012, the team won two World Series championships in 2013 and 2018. The Red Sox also played in three AL Championship Series and won four AL East Division titles in that span. Boston previously played Spring Training games at City of Palms Park from 1993 until 2011.
