With the Minor League Hockey Season underway, the Indy Fuel are ready to drop the puck! The Fuel are an ECHL affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks. In addition, they play in the Central Division for the Western Conference. The Fuel have been an affiliate for the Blackhawks since 2014. The Indy Fuel has an in-state rivalry with the Fort Wayne Komets (who are also the members of the ECHL in the same division)

The Fuel have been playing their home games at Indiana Farmers Coliseum since 2014. Speaking of Indiana Farmers Coliseum, the 6,000-capacity arena is located not far from the Butler University campus (home of the Butler Bulldogs basketball). The venue is also about a 2.0-hour drive from Fort Wayne (home of the ECHL Hockey’s Komets and Minor League Baseball’s TinCaps). The arena also hosts the IUPUI (Indiana-Purdue-Indianapolis) basketball games. The team’s official mascot is Nitro the Red Dragon.
