The defending two-time AFC South Division champions are looking to make the playoffs for the third straight year. That would make it the longest such streak in franchise history. But before those postseason talks begin, the team and food provider Aramark® have announced the food concessions lineup for the 2025 season. The Texans will give fans 13 new food offerings to choose from this upcoming season. The franchise also partnered with Whataburger® to have a food truck outside the stadium for the December 14th game only.
Debuting menu items will be the Loaded Funnel Cake Fries (Apple Pie & Hot Honey Chicken), Crawfish Queso, and Fluffy Taco. The suites plan to include Deviled Eggs and Chicken Lollipops, while the club level will have Wagyu Cheesesteak and Hula Hog Nachos. The History of Houston Texans Football at NRG Stadium
With the NFL Football season underway, the Houston Texans are ready for kick-off! The Texans been playing home games at NRG Stadium since 2002. Speaking of NRG Stadium, the venue can hold at least 70,000 football fans in capacity. The team’s venue is located right next to the Astrodome (the former home of the MLB’s Houston Astros). NRG Stadium is also about a 15-20 minute drive from Downtown Houston (home of the Astros and NBA’s Rockets).
Since 2011, the Texans have reached the playoffs eight times. Since its opening, NRG Stadium has hosted two Super Bowls: Patriots vs. Panthers (2003 season) and Patriots vs. Falcons (2016 season). The venue is also the home of the annual Texas Bowl (SEC vs. Big 12). NRG Stadium was recently the site of 2024 National Championship Game, where the Michigan Wolverines defeated the Washington Huskies.
