With the Minor League Hockey/Basketball Seasons underway, the Fort Wayne Komets and Fort Wayne Mad Ants are ready for action! The Komets are an ECHL affiliate of the Vegas Golden Knights. In addition, they play in the Central Division for the Western Conference. The Komets have been an affiliate for the Golden Knights since 2018. Fort Wayne previously partnered with the Colorado Avalanche (2014-2016) and Arizona Coyotes (2017-2018). Meanwhile, the Fort Wayne Mad Ants are an NBA G-League affiliate of the Indiana Pacers. In fact, they have been a farm club for the Pacers since 2015.

Where do the Fort Wayne Komets/Mad Ants Play their Home Games? Who is the Official Mascot?

The Komets have been playing at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum since the 1950’s, while the Mad Ants have been playing there since 2007. Speaking of Allen Coutny War Memorial Coliseum, the 10,000-capacity arena is a 10-15 minute drive from Downtown Fort Wayne (home of Minor League Baseball’s TinCaps). The venue is also about a 2.0-hour drive from Indianapolis (home of the NFL’s Colts, NBA’s Pacers, and Minor League Baseball’s Indians). The Komets’ official mascot is Ice D. Eagle, while the Mad Ants’ mascot is General “Mad” Anthony Wayne.
