Speaking of Ford Field, the venue can hold at least 70,000 football fans in capacity. The team’s venue is adjacent to Comerica Park (home of the MLB’s Detroit Tigers). The Lions last won an NFL championship in 1957. Recently, Detroit made the NFL playoffs during the 2016 season. Ford Field is notable for hosting a Lions game every Thanksgiving at noon (Eastern Time) along with the annual Quick Lane Bowl. The stadium also hosted Super Bowl XL in 2006 (Steelers vs. Seahawks) and the 2009 Men’s Final Four (North Carolina vs. Michigan State).
