Who Are the Columbus Clingstones? What League Do They Play in?

With the Minor League Baseball Season (MiLB) underway, the Clingstones (based in Columbus, GA) are ready to play ball! The team is a Double-A farm partner for the Atlanta Braves. In fact, they play in the South Division for the Southern League. The Clingstones were formerly known as the Mississippi Braves (or M-Braves) from 2005 until their relocation from Jackson, Mississippi in 2024. Despite the change in name and identity, the franchise remained a Double-A affiliate for Atlanta.

Where do the Columbus Clingstones Play their Home Games? Who is the Official Mascot?

The Clingstones have been playing their home games at Synovus Park since 2025. Speaking of Synovus Park, the 5,500-capacity ballpark is located not far from the Georgia/Alabama state line. In fact, the stadium is also about a 2.0-hour drive from Atlanta (home of the 2021 World Series champion Braves). The venue is also situated near the Chattahoochee River. The team’s main mascot is Fuzzy the Peach, with the name created from a fan-vote contest. Previously, the facility was known as Golden Park from its opening in 1926 until 2024.
