Welcome to the Columbus Blue Jackets 2026-2027 theme nights reveal! The boys from the Buckeye State want to snap their seven-year playoff drought dating back to 2020. In fact, Columbus is coming off its first back-to-back 40-win seasons since 2016-2019. Most importantly, the NHL club is looking for its first postseason series victory since 2019. With a month and a half before the puck drops on opening night, the Columbus Blue Jackets officially announced their promotional schedule for the 2026-2027 season.
Nationwide Arena plans to include 21 theme nights and six giveaways throughout the upcoming year. The Blue Jackets will start the promo slate in October with the Home Opener (Oct. 1), 2026-2027 Wall Calendar (Oct. 1), Halloween Trick-or-Treat & Pillowcase Freebie (Oct. 24), and Snoopy® Zamboni Bobblehead (Oct. 24). For November, Columbus is going to give away the Hockey Fights Cancer T-Shirt (Nov. 5), Ivan & Drake Provorov Bobblehead (Nov. 5), Salute to Service Camo Jersey (Nov. 12), Pre-Thanksgiving Showdown (Nov. 25), and Black Friday Matinee (Nov. 27).
Next, December will be a busy month based on these fan-related events: Teachers Appreciation (Dec. 12), Marvel™ Superheroes Galore (Dec. 19), Jet Greaves Dr. Doom™ Bobblehead (Dec. 19), Santa Stinger Meet & Greet (Dec. 22), and New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31). The second half of the promotional schedule will commence in January with Healthcare Appreciation (Jan. 2), Grateful Dead Tribute (Jan. 8), Kids in Charge (Jan. 24), and First Responders (Jan. 30). For February, the franchise is going to feature Pride Night (Feb. 11), Hockey is for Everyone Label Pin (Feb. 11), Star Wars™ 50th Anniversary (Feb. 20), and Boy Scouts Event (Feb. 27).
In March, Columbus will host a Tropical Luau with a CBJ Hawaiian Shirt (Mar. 13), St. Patrick’s Day (Mar. 16), and 5th Line Kepi Hat Giveaway (Mar. 27). Finally, the Blue Jackets will wrap up the theme night slate in April with the Team Poster Freebie (Apr. 8).
