Who Are the Charlotte Knights? What League Do They Play in?
With the Minor League Baseball Season (MiLB) underway, the Charlotte Knights are ready to play ball! The Knights are a Triple-A Team affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. In addition, they play in the East Division for the International League as of 2024. For 2021, Charlotte played in the same division for the Triple-A East League. 2024 will be the club’s 25th year as an MiLB affiliation club for the White Sox dating back to 1999.
Where do the Charlotte Knights Play their Home Games? Who is the Official Mascot?
The Knights have been playing their home games at Truist Field since 2014 after spending the previous 13 years at the now-demolished Knights Stadium. Speaking of Truist Field, the 10,000-capacity ballpark is located a couple blocks away from Bank of America Stadium (home of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers). Truist Field was also the home of the 2016 Triple-A All-Star Game. The team’s official mascot is Homer the Dragon. The venue was formerly known as BB&T Ballpark from 2014 until 2019.
