Full Story on Lance Leipold Stepping Down as University of Buffalo Bulls Football Head Coach
With Lance Leipold gone, now is the time for the Buffalo Bulls to make a list of top candidates. In fact, the recognizable applicants could be qualified to become the team’s new head coach for the 2021 Season. Leipold will be leaving Buffalo after six seasons and a 37-33 record (25-20 in the Mid-American Conference/MAC). He will become the next head coach for the Kansas Jayhawks, replacing Les Miles. At the time of the departure, the Bulls finished the 2020 season with a 6-1 record (5-0 in the conference).
Lance Leipold guided the University of Buffalo football program to three bowl games and two MAC Conference Championship Game appearances. Prior to joining the Bulls in 2015, Leipold was the head coach for Wisconsin-Whitewater (2007-2014). He won six National Championships in the Division III level during his seven-year tenure with Wisconsin-Whitewater.
