The History of Arkansas State Football at Centennial Bank Stadium
With the College Football Season around the corner, the Arkansas State Red Wolves are ready for kick-off! The men in Scarlet and Black have been playing at Centennial Bank Stadium since the mid-1970’s. Speaking of Centennial Bank Stadium, the venue can hold at least 30,000 fans in attendance. The Red Wolves’ football venue is about a 4.5-hour drive from Fayetteville (home of the Arkansas Razorbacks). Centennial Bank Stadium is also located on the Arkansas State University campus. The school’s football stadium is also about a 1.0-hour drive from Memphis, TN (Home of the Memphis Tigers, NBA’s Grizzlies, and Triple-A Baseball’s Redbirds).
Since its opening, the Red Wolves football venue has witnessed some of the greatest college football players and coaches in history. Those players are the following: Butch Jones (head coach), DL Chris Odom, WR J.D. McKissic, Blake Anderson (head coach), and many more! The men in Scarlet and Black last won a National Championship during the 1970 season (FCS Level). Since 2010, the Red Wolves have played in nine bowl games.
