The History of Dbacks Baseball at Chase Field

With the Major League Baseball (MLB) Season underway, the Arizona Diamondbacks are ready to play ball! The Dbacks have been playing at Chase Field since their inception in 1998. Speaking of Chase Field, the venue hosted the 2011 All-Star Game along with the Home Run Derby. The ballpark is a couple blocks away from Footprint Center (home of the NBA’s Phoenix Suns-2021 Western Conference Champions). Chase Field is also about a 15-20 minute drive from Glendale (home of the NHL’s Coyotes and NFL’s Cardinals). Since the Dbacks moved to their current home in 1998, the team won the World Series in 2001. Arizona also made the playoffs six times since the stadium opened. The ballpark is notable for having a swimming pool located beyond right field.
